MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is marked 'Belais 18K.' In 1917, David Belais of Belais Brothers acquired a patent for white gold. The Belais alloy was extremely popular; During the 1920s, white gold was sometimes referred to as “Belais metal.” Belais jewelry is highly collectible & sought after, because their company is considered to be the first to use white gold in the U.S. Their pieces are like owning a piece of jewelry history!
CONDITION - Very good vintage condition. Ring has been refurbished, newly rhodium plated, polished, and cleaned by our jeweler. Very little age remains to metal. Engravings have been well preserved. Amazing antique wedding band!
