Classy vintage 10k yellow gold 1930s Art Deco era ring featuring a created white sapphire! This lovely lab created white sapphire is securely prong set in a high profile setting and the yellow gold band is unadorned. A lovely piece of signed Ostby & Barton jewelry!

METAL / MATERIAL - 10k yellow gold, created white sapphire (approx. 1.60 cts)
(gemstone with the same chemical properties as a mined sapphire, but made by man in a lab).

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is marked "10k OB" for Ostby & Barton. Ostby (Co-owner of Ostby & Barton) was a first class passenger on the Titanic & was among one of the 1,500 passengers who perished during the tragic iceberg collision. The company was established in 1879 in Providence, Rhode Island. At its time, it was considered one of the leading producers of fine jewelry. The company ceased production in the 1950s. Ostby & Barton jewelry is highly desired by collectors of fine antique jewelry for its beautiful workmanship & historical significance.

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. Piece has been professionally cleaned. Stone is secure in setting and is in nice shape. Very little patina and wear remain. A gorgeous piece of fine Art Deco era jewelry!
